Everything I do during the week is available on Sunday: the 45 minute first visit with a full exam, 30 minute follow-ups, heat and e-stim, soft tissue work, flexion-distraction on the table and the adjustment itself. Parking in the lot is free on Sundays and the building is quiet, so Sunday is often the easiest visit of the week.

Why I keep Sunday hours

Most chiropractic offices in San Diego close for the weekend. That leaves a gap for exactly the people who need care most.

Weekend injuriesThe back that locks up moving a couch on Saturday, the neck that seizes after a long surf session, the sprint that tweaks a hamstring at a Sunday league game. Waiting until Monday or Tuesday means two more days of guarding and spasm.
Work schedulesPlenty of people in UTC and Sorrento Valley cannot leave the office between 9 and 5. Sunday is the one day a 45 minute appointment does not cost them a meeting.
StudentsUCSD students on UC SHIP, and USD and SDSU students on their plans, can come in without missing class. Sunday appointments fill with students during the quarter.
Same day openingsBecause fewer people expect a chiropractor to be open on Sunday, there is usually a same day slot. Book online and pick the time that works.

Insurance and cost on Sundays

Same as any other day. I am in network with Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross, Blue Shield of California, UnitedHealthcare, Cigna, UMR, Meritain, HealthNet, Medicare and VA Community Care, and I verify your benefits before your first visit so you know your copay before you walk in. Yes. Sunday appointments include full new patient visits: 45 minutes with a history, an exam with range of motion and orthopedic testing, and treatment the same day when the exam is clear.

No, the office is closed on Saturday. Sunday 10 AM to 4 PM is my weekend day, and I am open Monday to Friday 9 AM to 7 PM.

Which neighborhoods come in on Sundays?

Mostly UTC, La Jolla, University City, Sorrento Valley, Carmel Valley, Clairemont and Pacific Beach, and UCSD students. The office is just off the 805 at Nobel Drive, so it is a short drive from most of central and north San Diego.
