Same day chiropractor in San Diego, evenings and Sundays

Most new patients are seen the same day they book. I am in the office until 7 PM Monday to Friday and from 10 AM to 4 PM on Sundays, so you can get in after work or on the weekend without waiting until next week. The first visit is 45 minutes: exam, soft tissue work and adjustment in one appointment.

The 5 PM to 7 PM block and Sunday are the busiest times of my week, because that is when people who work in UTC, Sorrento Valley and La Jolla can actually come in. A 30 minute follow-up at 6:30 PM fits after the office, and a Sunday morning visit fits before the week starts. Book online to see the live schedule, or call or text and I will fit you in the same day if there is an opening.

Why same day matters

Back and neck pain does not schedule itself for a convenient Tuesday at 10 AM.

Acute pain guards and spasmsA back that locks up this morning is easier to settle today than after three days of guarding, bad sleep and avoiding movement. Early treatment usually means fewer visits overall.
Weekend and after work injuriesThe gym session, the surf, the couch you moved, the long drive. Most of these happen outside 9 to 5, and most chiropractic offices in San Diego are closed when you need them.
No waiting room gameBecause every visit is booked, you get a set time and a full 30 or 45 minutes with me. Same day does not mean rushed.
Book online in under a minuteThe Zocdoc schedule shows real openings, including evenings and Sundays. Pick the time, fill in the intake online, and show up.

What a same day first visit looks like

  • History and exam, about 15 minutes: what happened, range of motion, orthopedic and neurological testing, and a look at how your pelvis is sitting with you face down.
  • Treatment the same visit when the exam is clear: heat and e-stim if the muscles are guarding, soft tissue work, and the adjustment, or flexion-distraction on the table for disc and sciatica cases.
  • A plan before you leave: how often to come in, two or three home exercises if you need them, and a straight answer on whether you need imaging or a referral first.
Go to urgent care or the ER instead if the pain follows a serious fall or crash, you have new numbness or weakness in a leg or arm, loss of bladder or bowel control, fever with back pain, or chest pain. I treat the rest.

Insurance and cost

I am in network with Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross, Blue Shield of California, UnitedHealthcare, Cigna, UMR, Meritain, HealthNet, Medicare and VA Community Care, and UC SHIP with a referral from Student Health. For a same day visit, book first and send the benefits check form right after; I usually have your copay before you arrive. Without insurance the first visit is $100 and follow-ups are $75, paid at the visit.

Common questions

Can I get a same day chiropractic appointment?

Usually, yes. Most days there is a same day opening, especially in the late afternoon and evening. Book online to see the live schedule, or call or text (858) 558-3111 and I will tell you the next available time.

Do you take walk-ins?

No. Every visit is booked so that you get a set time and the full 45 or 30 minutes. Booking takes under a minute online, and same day times are available most days.

How late are you open?

Until 7 PM Monday to Friday. The last new patient slot is usually around 6 PM so there is time for the full exam; follow-ups can run to 7 PM.

Are you open on weekends?

Sundays, 10 AM to 4 PM. The office is closed on Saturday. New patients are welcome on Sundays.

Do I need a referral for a same day visit?

No referral is needed for most PPO plans, Medicare, or cash visits. UC SHIP students need a referral from Student Health, and VA patients need a Community Care referral; I can walk you through both.

Will you treat me on the first visit?

Yes, when the exam is clear, which is most of the time. The first visit includes the history, the exam and treatment. If something in the exam says imaging or a physician should come first, I will tell you that instead of treating.
